Summer Camp: A Musical
Registration - Opens December 9th!
Space is very limited and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration will open on Monday, December 9th at 8:00am and will close when all spots are full. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis. We will accept 40 students in cast and 12 in crew.

Summer Camp: A Musical Caper
Welcome to Camp Runamok and the wackiest summer camp experience you could ever wish for! This musical has everything you love and fear about the summer camp experience, from the morning routine to corny camp skits and the ultimate talent show. Put away your technology and allow this nostalgic romp to take you on a journey of finding a place to belong, through the mighty highs and comic lows of Summer Camp!

Musical Details for Performers & Families
What is a musical? A musical is a performance that combines song, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance to tell a story.
What will my child do? We will present an entertaining performance for your entire family and our school.
- Cast: ALL 3rd-5th grade cast members will sing, dance and act their way through a 30 minute musical. 4th and 5th graders will have an opportunity to audition for lead roles which we will prepare them for (see the audition score sheet).
- Stage Crew: 4th and 5th grade students only. Stage Crew will make props, costumes, and backdrop pieces. These students run the lights, music, curtain, and backstage during the show. Space is limited to 12 students.
Attendance Policy- Students may miss a limited amount of dates with notice. The policy will be on a student to student basis but shall not exceed 3 total missed rehearsals.
Performance: We will present two shows for families on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 5:30 and 7:00 pm. There will be a small charge for tickets. More information to follow.
Fee: The cost of this program will be $110 (for cast and crew). This includes all rehearsals and a show t-shirt. All checks are due January 12th. Checks should be made payable to the Town of Dedham (financial assistance is available).
Costumes:
- Crew will wear all black clothing for the show.
- Cast members will wear summer clothes (more information to come).
Expectations: Avery School rules and behaviors are expected during this after school activity. If unexpected behaviors continue after three rehearsals students will be asked to not continue.
